Driver Apprentice Program – Student Graduates -  less than 3 months of experience

• To qualify, all recent graduates who apply must have completed 140 hours of CDL schooling within the past 90 days.

• If you meet all standard requirements and are selected, your OJT Apprenticeship will typically last 8 to 9 weeks.

• During this one-on-one training with our certified drivers, you will learn all facets of becoming a productive professional driver within your location.

• Please contact a recruiter and see if you can become one of the few selected student graduates who will receive one of our coveted local positions.

• NFI has limited locations and openings for recent graduates or less than 3 months of current experience.

Driver Apprentice Program – Experienced Applicants - less than 12 months of experience

• To qualify, you must be a professional driver with 3-11 months of limited experience or looking to expand your proper trailer-type experience.

• In most cases, drivers with 3-5 months of experience will take the 4-week custom training program with one of our certified driver trainers.

   

• In most cases, drivers with 6-11 months of experience will undergo a one-week evaluation with one of our certified driver trainers to determine if any skill sets need addressing.

• NFI has limited locations and openings for drivers with 3-11 months of limited experience.

Military Apprenticeship Program

NFI is registered and partnered with the Department of Labor (DOL) Apprenticeship Program and has the State Approving Agency (SAA) approval that allows military veterans, reservists, and guardsmen to use their GI Bill® benefits. These benefits could allow you to earn an additional monthly stipend to supplement your income while enrolled in an NFI apprenticeship program.
