Our D&I Strategy
NFI aims to create a more diverse and inclusive culture and workforce that embraces equal employment opportunities, broad perspectives, and engagement in our communities. The work to embed diversity into the company is led by an executive D&I Council, which was established in 2019 and represents every business unit. Our team focuses on five core areas:
Representation
Increasing representation of a diverse employee population
Advancement
Navigating career paths to provide equal opportunities
Inclusive Culture
Belonging is our standard
Employee Resource Groups
NFI's Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are voluntary, employee-led, and NFI-sponsored groups that are formed around common interests, backgrounds, or pursuits. Each group is open to all employees and helps to increase the inclusion and retention of our diverse workforce, drive employee engagement, and educate through programs.
ERGs contribute to NFI's success by strengthening and amplifying the voices of different employees within our company. NFI currently offers five ERGs that employees can join, and we anticipate more to develop in the coming year.

EVOLVE aims to empower and enrich the lives of employees through education, support, and awareness of physical, mental, and financial well-being.

HOLA empowers and supports Hispanic employees through advocacy, education, and mentorship opportunities.

PROUD strives to foster a supportive and welcoming community for LGBTQ+ professionals, providing resources and opportunities for personal and professional growth.

ASIAN promotes cultural awareness and understanding while celebrating the unique experiences and contributions of APIDA employees.

YP connects young professionals and bridges differing generational divides through mentorship and development.

BOLD supports and motivates career development and advancement of Black employees through mentorship.

VET connects, serves, and advocates for Veterans within NFI throughout the communities where we operate.
ERGs in Action
Our ERGs bring NFI’s mission to life with activities that engage and connect employees across all roles and locations. They host celebrations honoring cultural milestones, panel discussions, coffee talks, and webinars on inclusion and professional development.

SheDrives Ambassador Program
We recognize that women have historically been underrepresented in the Trucking industry, and we are committed to changing that narrative. Through our SheDrives NFI initiative, we are working to provide more opportunities for women to excel in every aspect of their careers. Our top priority is to amplify the voices of women within our trucking community and offer them a secure career in the industry

Our Community Veteran Initiatives

We are proud to partner with Hiring Our Heroes (HOH). HOH is an organization hiring transitional service members from the military to civilian careers.

Waypoint Vets unites and empowers Veterans through comradery and adventure. We are proud participants of the Mission Veteran Expedition: Vietnam 2023

Join us on Road Dog Trucking on Sirius XM for Military Milestones with retired Lieutenant Colonel Tim Ridley as the NFI team discusses the work we are doing to help support our transitioning military personnel

We are a proud volunteer for Wreaths Across America by helping store and transport wreaths to various Veteran cemeteries across the U.S.

Veterans in Trucking strives to honor those who once served our country in fatigues and now serve our country behind the wheel of a truck. We are proud to work with this organization to spread awareness about our military and veteran initiatives.
Employer Support Guards and Reservists (ESGR) is the Department of Defence office to promote the cooperation and understanding between Guards and Reserves service members and civilian employers.

The Department of Defense SkillBridge program is designed for military service members who are in their last 180 days of military service, transitioning out and preparing to re-enter civilian life with the goal of entering the civilian workforce.
